This weeks classes - open items

I see this week as a working week in the lab, with a short time at the beginning of Monday for business and a short demo of Soundslides.

Here are the open items you should be working on.

• Breaking news "Gunman" story wrap-up.  This blog should have three index entries - one from each news team - that indexes all the stories, interactivity and multimedia.  Those indexes should have "labels" for each member of the news team. One member of each team should email the team's index entry URL to Prof. Liss at dliss.nj@gmail.com address.  These will be evaluated as part of the in-class exercise portion of your course work. 
• Soundslides practice and Soundslides assignment - you should be getting into this assignment for real by Wednesday, bringing in your audio files and images. For the practice exercise, you may use the images in the "westminster" folder in our class's section of the journalism drive.  There is now a working 1:30 minute MP3 file in the MP3 folder called "edited Smiling face.mp3"
• Layered photoshop exercise - remember - two for your personal blogs and one loaded onto the class blog - see my example
  
• Photoshop exercise #1 - These all go in your blog
