Web 2.0

Web 2.0 is the user's Internet. It is a network platform for a host of applications like Myspace, Facebook, Flickr, Imeem, and Blogger that allows users to participate on the Internet. Desktop publishing and personalized web space is the heart of web 2.0 and the applications get better as more and more people use it. The biggest difference between Web 2.0 and Web 1.0 is that it is as accessible to the common user as those with extensive coding or software knowledge. Web 2.0 allows sharing and collaboration of personal information with networking websites, which was probably the biggest contributor to the 2.0 boom.

Web 2.0 changed everything. Especially on college campuses and amongst the younger demographic where people are spending more  time on the Internet than ever before. Is Web 2.0 a good thing though?

I think it is, but it is a powerful tool with a lot of responsibilities that people should be aware of when dealing with personal information.
